TransfluxCT patient line with disconnect feature and double safety zone
The Transflux® contrast delivery system is designed to efficiently deliver contrast media from a reservoir to the patient, specifically by only requiring the change of tubing near the patient, known as the CT patient line. The patient line incorporates two safety zones and two one-way valves, strategically separated by a fluid pressure interaction zone. This configuration allows for the flushing of the vein, controlled management of blood reflux, and the subsequent injection of contrast media.
The primary objective of the Transflux® system is to eliminate the necessity of changing power syringes for each patient procedure, thereby mitigating the risk of syringe contamination. This innovation results in significant cost and time savings, offering the added advantage of effectively managing blood reflux while avoiding the potential for cross-contamination.
